About Us

The Maastricht Journal of Feminism is a student-run, inter- and multidisciplinary platform dedicated to amplifying feminist scholarship within and beyond Maastricht University. We publish peer-reviewed academic works within our journal and blog, provided that feminism lies at the core of that work.

We aim to foster critical, inclusive, and accessible feminist dialogue that connects theory, practice, and lived experience. We aim to create a space where students can engage with feminist ideas that challenge structural inequalities, reimagine existing systems, and contribute to social justice. By bridging academic research with contemporary issues, we seek to broaden public understanding of feminism as an ever-evolving field shaping law, culture, science, politics, and society.

Our Values

Inclusivity & Intersectionality

Academic Rigor & Accessibility

Empowerment & Community Engahgement

We are committed to representing diverse feminist perspectives, particularly those historically marginalised in academic spaces. We encourage contributrions that engage with intersectionality and illuminate how gender interacts with race, class, sexuality, disability, nationality, and other identities.

We value high-quality scholarship that remains accessible to a broad readership. Our editorial process ensures intellectual depth while prioritising clarity, transparency, and open dialogue across disciplines.

The Journal seeks to empower emerging scholars and feminist voices by providing a supportive platform for publication, discussion, and collaboration. We aim to build a community where ideas can grow, challenge, and inspire change.
